Obesity
For my issue, I chose to research obesity. Obesity is a very significant issue that is overlooked for the most part. It affects the health of the people and our economy. Obesity has been increasing in the past few years while world hunger has decreased. One of the main reasons I chose this article was because of this one fact, “for the first time in human history, the number of overweight people rivals the number of underweight people… While the world’s underfed population has declined slightly since 1980 to 1.1 billion, the number of overweight people has surged to 1.1 billion”. This was appalling, and the worst part is, that this is just the beginning. There are many other problems that our world faces that are attributed to obesity. I think this would be a great topic to research and discuss.

I think obesity is a great topic to research. I would definitely like to know more about it. It's really sad how many overweight people we have in the world, especially in the United States. It frustrates me because people should want to be healthy and should take care of their bodies, not just for themselves but also for their family members. A huge thing for obese people is what they eat. I know exercise is important but more than that it is over eating. In the United States we allow ourselves to eat the McDonald's or the quick meal so that we can be off with our busy life. I think sometimes if people would slow down, it might help solve the problem.
